Plano Paging Ericsson
Telecom Giant Building New Campus Facility North of Dallas

Ericsson, (Nasdaq: ERICY) (http://www.ericsson.com) an international telecommunications company based in Stockholm, Sweden with over 3,000 employees in the greater Dallas area, has signed a letter of intent for a new 35-acre campus to be built in Legacy business community in Plano, TX. The facility illustrates Ericsson's commitment to the US market and will coincide with the rapid growth forecasted for broadband wireless communications, where Ericsson clearly intends to take the leading role.

Ericsson currently occupies 28 buildings in the Richardson area just south of Plano. Consolidating some facilities in Plano will result in substantial cost savings and major efficiency improvements for the company. Ericsson will continue to maintain a significant workforce presence in Richardson.

The new campus will be located in Legacy, west of the Dallas North Tollway and south of Legacy Drive, opposite EDS' corporate headquarters. Construction is scheduled to start this summer, with a phase one completion date of mid-year 2001. In the first phase, the campus will have 500,000 square feet and house 1,700 employees. Eventually the campus could encompass up to 110 acres.

"Ericsson has found a home in the greater Dallas area and we look forward to our expanded presence in Plano,'' said Bo Dimert, president and CEO of Ericsson Inc. "At the same time our continuing presence in Richardson underscores the Telecom Corridor as a great place to do business.''

Ericsson's new facility is being designed with a host of employee productivity enhancements and communication improvements. Special emphasis will be given to making the campus environmentally friendly and efficient. Employee teams will be formed to address these issues.
